Mixed Emotions is a series of intricate nature-inspired paper cuts by Michael Reyes of Pistil & Pollen.

Whether it's through walking in the woods with his dog or creating beautiful arrangements from seemingly ordinary plants surrounding him, Michael Reyes never ceases to find inspiration in nature. This muse is reflected in his newest series of work in which he uses different layers of hand-cut paper to create delicate floral motifs. 

The title of the show, Mixed Emotions, is in reference to floriography, the secret form of communication through the use or arrangement of flowers. Each flower is believed to have its own meaning with a specific emotion attached to it.
